“Matthew is an incredibly knowledgable and patient teacher. I’ve taken lessons for coming up to a year and have greatly expanded my knowledge of the Italian language. The lessons are not only informative but enjoyable. It also has been a refresher on basic English grammar which was an unexpected benefit! Haha. I would recommend his teaching to anyone who wants to really build a strong foundation of the Italian language! Thanks Matthew for all your help. ” – Sofia

I cannot stress how important it is to have a good understanding of the Italian grammar. For example, how can you have a sentence without a verb. It is also very important in the real world to speak in the correct tense otherwise people will not understand whether you are talking about the present, future or past. Good pronunciation is also really important again so people can understand what you are saying. This is all of use when you go to to Italy of course.
It is also worth noting Italian is a wonderful language to learn despite there not being many Italian speaking countries in the world. That is because it is a language of opera, fashion and music. Apart from trying to determine how necessary it is to learn, isn’t it enjoyable learning a new language? and I think Italian sounds lovely!
