My name is Matthew Brown, and I’m proud to offer over 21 years of experience in delivering exceptional tutoring services that help students consistently exceed their predicted grades. I am passionate about providing high-quality education, and my dedication is reflected in the glowing testimonials from satisfied clients who value the impact of my work.
I hold a BA Honours degree in French and Maths with Spanish from Queen Mary University of London and specialise in one-on-one tutoring in Maths, French, Spanish, and Italian at all levels. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, or just want to improve your skills, I’m here to help you succeed.
I travel directly to the student’s home, ensuring a comfortable learning environment that fosters confidence and growth. My approach guarantees that each lesson is tailored to the unique needs and goals of every student. I offer tutoring at all levels including:
- Primary School level (Key Stages 1 and 2)
- Common Entrance (11+ and 13+)
- Secondary School level (Key Stage 3 and GCSE/IGCSE)
- Sixth form (A Level and International Baccalaureate)
- Maths, French, Spanish, and Italian (GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level, IB)
I cover all major exam boards, including Edexcel and AQA, ensuring thorough preparation for students.
In addition to my academic tutoring I offer chess tuition for players ranging from complete beginners to skilled players (up to 1700 rating) who are looking to further develop their strategic and tactical knowledge.
Where do I tutor?

My Fees
My fees are reasonable and also based on level and travel.
Please note that I require at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation or I will have to charge for the lesson.
DBS Certification
I have up to date and entirely clear Enhanced DBS certification.
