‘Matthew is an incredibly knowledgable and patient teacher. I’ve taken lessons for coming up to a year and have greatly expanded my knowledge of the Italian language. The lessons are not only informative but enjoyable. It also has been a refresher on basic English grammar which was an unexpected benefit! Haha. I would recommend his teaching to anyone who wants to really build a strong foundation of the Italian language! Thanks Matthew for all your help.’

‘Matthew has done a brilliant job teaching French to our 14 years old son, by using methodical approach when learning the verbs. He gave David lots of confidence and positive outlook on the subject.
Thank you, Matthew!’

‘Matthew tutored me Italian and had great knowledge of the language, especially the grammar. Before Matthew I only used duolingo and my Italian definitely got better once I had some tutoring sessions. He makes things easy to understand, especially the grammar and so I would recommend Matthew as an Italian tutor.’

‘Growing up with a Spanish speaking mother, James decided that although he didn’t have lessons at school, he wanted to do an extra GCSE in Spanish At the start of year 10, he didn’t really speak with any confidence and his vocabulary and grip of the grammar was a long way behind what is needed to pass GCSE. Matthew systematically brought him up to speed in these areas and he was very happy to be awarded an 8 at his GCSE last month.’

‘Matthew is a very kind and helpful tutor, who helped me in my Maths A Level when i was extremely behind, even on such short notice before exams. In the end managed to go to university to study Biomedical Science! Matthew structures his lessons very well, and always makes sure to set homework for anyone to consolidate their learning. He teaches concepts step by step and makes sure didn’t continue until I understood the topic. He is an excellent tutor and I strongly recommend him’

‘Matthew gave my son just 3 one to one Chess coaching sessions in the run up to the National Primary School Chess Championships. He even set homework and looked at my son’s games online between sessions. Matthew picked up on how to strengthen the game very quickly and taught some very effective moves. My son went on to do extremely well and moved up a board and beat Haberdashers school for the first time, his nemesis. He said that Matthew had given him confidence and had understood how to improve his game. Matthew’s Chess coaching is second to none.’
