“Matthew has tutored my son for the last four years and in those years has instilled in him a solid understanding of Mathematical techniques, taking him from a child struggling with the subject to finally achieving A* in his IGCSE Maths.

Matthew’s approach to teaching is both conscientious and systematic. He is a dedicated tutor and the results of his dedication speak for themselves. Thank you Matthew for all your help.” – Eileen

Maths Testimonials

“Matthew is a great tutor. While I was doing my International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), I was really struggling to meet the high requirements from our Maths teachers. I especially had large gaps in Algebra, which Matthew helped me fill in. Once that was fixed, I went from strength to strength. Matthew helped me advance from a predicted grade of 3 to an actual grade of 6 in Maths (7 is the highest), in just 5 months. I have got into Bath University. Overall, I am very thankful to Matthew for all the time and effort he put into tutoring me.”

French Testimonials

“I write to confirm that Matthew tutored my daughter in GCSE French. She achieved a grade A*. He was thorough in his preparation. His subject knowledge was good and he was always very reliable in terms of attendance and punctuality.”

MRS Lynch (Loreto School Headmistress)

Spanish Testimonials

“I was searching for a Spanish tutor for my daughter who was predicted an E grade at GCSE and found Matthew’s details on a website. From the very beginning Matthew was professional and helpful and willing to go the extra mile (which was very helpful as my daughter was not keen on the subject at all but needed an improved grade). With Matthew’s help, my daughter gained a B grade which is more than we had hoped for! Matthew is an excellent tutor and I would highly recommend him.

Chess Testimonials

“Matthew gave my son just 3 one to one Chess coaching sessions in the run up to the National Primary School Chess Championships. He even set homework and looked at my son’s games online between sessions. Matthew picked up on how to strengthen the game very quickly and taught some very effective moves. My son went on to do extremely well and moved up a board and beat Haberdashers school for the first time, his nemesis. He said that Matthew had given him confidence and had understood how to improve his game. Matthew’s Chess coaching is second to none.”
